The QubeMDx™ Avian Sexing Examination Kits are ready-to-use, lyophilized PCR kits for DNA sex determination in birds. Using CHD1 gene targets, they distinguish males (ZZ) from females (ZW) by amplicon length, working from either feather or blood with a direct-lysis + PCR workflow. Kits include loading dye and a positive control, deliver PCR amplicons in about an hour with <2 minutes of hands-on time, and are stored at room temperature (5–25 °C). They’re designed for conventional PCR with gel electrophoresis, and come in 48-test formats with primer sets optimized for different avian species.
